![]() There is no set rule, some people do “DRY HATCHING” which means you do not add any water during Day 1-17 while others stick to traditional method of keeping humidity. ![]() However this is very variable, this is based on our incubator(Brinsea ovaeasy cabinet & Greatlander offpsring), altitude, location, climate and we do adjust accordingly by season. It is best to incubate as soon as possible. If eggs are damaged internally during shipping it WILL NOT heal rested or not, it will only age another day. Based on our experience & recent studies “Resting” will not affect the result of the incubation. We no longer recommending resting eggs prior incubation. The temperature may be just 1-2 degrees celsius off – which can have a big impact on the eggs. It is a good idea to check your incubator temperature before attempting to hatch – especially if you just purchased a new one. DO NOT TRUST YOUR INCUBATOR TEMPERATURE & HUMIDITY DISPLAY – Always have a separate thermometer & hygrometer.Generally speaking, it gets better with higher price tag, but do not go overboard if you are a beginner, start small and see if you like it. We will not recommend any particular brand as everyone has different opinion & experiences.Get used to the terms – Turning eggs, Pointy ends, round ends, LOCKDOWN etc. Please do your homework and research what you need to do, what you need to prepare. ![]() GOOGLE & YOUTUBE are amazing teachers. ![]() USING AN INCUBATOR – BEFORE HATCH – THINGS TO REMEMBER ![]()
